Entrance to the CCAA

One of the file cabinets with family files. There are ROWS of
file cabinets. Files are color coded by agency.

Talking babies with the staff of the CCAA.

Stacks of dossiers, again color coded.
They are input at
this
station into the
computer. On each screen (the one I am looking at) they can
then
pull
up the two "mug shots" of the parents and other important
information.

Post placement reports. Organized by agency, date and year of
adoption.

Brown folders full of children's profiles. Looking at one file.

One new "coming home" notice.

The infamous MATCHING ROOM!! Each of those files is one families
dossier. The ones you can see in the photo are May and June '02.

In the matching room looking at one families file.

Having dinner with Deng Pufang (not CCAA
related, but a true
highlight
of my trip!) :-)
He has a great heart, too. I had to keep pinching myself
that I was actually
sitting by him listening to him tell stories of his father Deng
Xiaoping and Chairman Mao.
