Prior To the Vill-Angel Medical Clinic in rural Kenya, community members had little to no options for healthcare. The nearest clinic was far away, and with poor road conditions and floods, sometimes it was impossible to get vital healthcare. The community regularly experiences malaria, pneumonia, and infections. These are all curable diseases, but they can be fatal without healthcare. Working with a local medical practitioner Julius, Angel Covers started the clinic to provide much-needed services in this region.
The Vill- Angel Medical Clinic supports a community of over 10,000 people, providing key services every day. Villagers have come to the clinic for HIV treatment, infection prevention, birth delivery, and more. Because the hospital is so far away, many people in the surrounding community will not seek health treatment. This is incredibly dangerous. The Vill-Angel Medical Clinic provides vital health services in this rural and remote area.
We have big plans to expand the clinic’s reach, including adding a maternity wing. Newborn and maternal deaths are common in rural sub-Saharan Africa as pregnancy emergencies can occur suddenly with no one near to treat the mother or baby. Providing vital maternal and newborn health services in remote and rural regions will change this and prevent needless death.Donate to Vill-Angel Medical Clinic
